Born in 1978, Nazim Serhat Firat is a freelance photojournalist and set still photographer in since 2007. He studied Photography in the Fine Arts Faculty at Kocaeli University.

He holds an MA degree with a dissertation thesis titled “Propaganda and Manipulation in the Context of Using War Photographs” in the Fine Arts Faculty at Marmara University. He is doing a masters degree in Photography at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
